The Vidarbha Cricket Association Ground is located in the city of Nagpur, Maharashtra. The first Test match was played here on 3 October 1969 between India and New Zealand. The pitch of the venue was re-built in 1999. Subsequently, it has become favorable for the pace bowlers. The Australians fully exploited the lively conditions to conquer the 'final frontier', as they beat India to clinch the 2004 series. Known as VCA Ground, it belongs to the Central Zone. Vidharbha CA Ground has been a happy hunting venue for some Indian players. The venue witnessed the successful ODI comeback of Sachin Tendulkar after recovering from elbow surgery, where he contributed 93 in a thumping Indian win. Tendulkar has an excellent record at the ground, having made three centuries in Tests and averaging over 70 in ODIs. Sunil Gavaskar scored his only one-day, and World Cup, century here, when India won by a huge margin against New Zealand in their finals of the 1987 Reliance World Cup.

    * The highest ODI score at the ground is 350/6 by India vs. Sri Lanka. in 2005-2006.
    * The lowest ODI score (154) at the ground was made by Zimbabwe against Australia in 1995/96.
    * Patrick Patterson is credited with the best bowling innings at the grounds, when his team West Indies played an ODI against India in 1987-88.
